Domain transfer authorization code?
If you need to transfer a domain from your current registrar(web host) to a new registrar, you may require the authorization code.
The domain transfer authorization code is also called EPP Key. It is needed to transfer certain types of domain names from one registrar to another. This is a security feature to verify you are the domain owner. It prevents any unauthorized transfers.
How to get the domain transfer authorization code (EPP Key) with your current registrar?

1. Verify your domain administrator’s email address
If the domain administrator’s contact email address is correct, your current registrar will send you the authorization code to you.
2. Unlock domain name status and deactivate private registration
In general, domain name registrar will provide a domain name setting platform or control panel to users. Through the domain name setting platform or control panel, you can:
a) deactivate the private domain registration
b) unlock the domain status.
c) request the domain transfer authorization code (EPP key).
3. Receive your domain transfer authorization code
You will get an email about the authorization code and a link for confirmation. If you haven’t received the code, please contact your current registrar directly.
4. Submit the authorization code with your new registrar
Before initiating the domain transfer with your new registrar, please be aware that any other services (such as email service, SSL certificate, dedicated IP address, domain parking, domain redirect…etc) you are using from your current registrar. If any technical questions, you should direct contact your current registrar and the new registrar to make sure all equivalent services transfer can go through.
If all other services are clear and any specify requirement are ready, you can contact your new registrar to submit the authorization code.
5. Accept domain release & confirm domain transfer
There is a five-day waiting period. You will receive an email to accept the domain release from the current registrar and another email to confirm the domain transfer to the new registrar.The domain transfer process will take 5-7 days. Once the transfer completes, the domain will automatically update. You will have control over the domain at your new registrar.
Following the above steps, the domain transfer process should be completed smoothly. Anyway, we still recommend you should double check that everything is working properly on your website. If any page links, images or files are missing or experiencing 404 error, you may need to use 301 redirect with htaccess for transferring.
